Anxious People - Fredrik Backman (3.5)

This book took me foreverrrrr to get through but it did a good job of reeling me back in when things had gotten slow through Backman's beautiful and real way of bringing real life struggles and situations in when I least expected it. My jaw was on the floor multiple times throughout this book and the plot twists! I totally didn't see one of the biggest ones coming. Overall, I thought this was a beautiful representation of how we are all going through life on our own path's. We get so caught up in what we are or are not doing, what we may not be good at, if we are doing the right thing or not, if we are a good partner to our significant other, etc. Everyone has their own anxieties/worries unique to them and we are not alone in that experience. The book was just really slow for me which is why I give it 3.5 stars. I wasn't interested, and then I was, until I wasn't again, and then I was. I'd be lying if I said this book didn't make me cry though. This was my first Fredrik Backman book, and I really enjoyed his writing so I am excited to read his other books now. If you plan on reading this, please look up trigger warnings before you do so.
